Oxyntomodulin injection supports Weight loss
August 29, 2005
UK researchers have found that self administered subcutaneous injections
of a substance called Oxyntomodulin can lead to weight loss and
decrease fat deposited in the body. Oxyntomodulin if taken before
a meal reduces hunger and contributes to high weight loss.
Experts who conducted the study noticed that obese people in the
Oxyntomodulin group ate less and their body weight reduced by an
average of 2.3 kilos while undergoing treatment. Changes in levels
of fat related hormone leptin and adiponectin were also seen. By
administering a natural hormone like Oxyntomodulin, obesity can
be controlled to a good extend. The natural hormone cuts down food
intake in both humans and animals.
